Check-in is after 4 o’clock and checkout is before 11. Contactless check-in and out.
Door. Enter the code you received in your arrival instructions. The door will unlock. Use the deadbolt inside to lock the door. To lock the door from outside, press the Schlage button at the top. The door will lock.
HVAC. The large units hanging on the walls are heat pumps and air conditioners. The thermostats on the wall are the controller. Please just select “+” or “-” to adjust the temperature. It helps to point the controller at the wall unit when changing the temperature. All units should run in the same mode such as Cool or Heat. If set differently, it will lock out the last unit.
Fireplace-heat. Use the remote control to start and enjoy the fire.
TV. Local HDTV OTA Channels and Roku Stick. Use the INPUT button on the TV remote to change inputs.
Internet. WiFi network ”Squire”
Bath Floor Heat. Automatic, enjoy.
Septic. The Cottage is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything down the toilet except waste. Please no grease down the drains. Use paper towels to absorb.
Fishing. You are welcome to fish our fully stocked pond. No license required. Our record is a 24”, 6 pound Bass with a 16” girth.
Fire pit. We try to provide firewood for small fires. Please be considerate.
Grilling. Turn the gas on and turn the knob. Please turn the gas off at the tank when done.
Coffee, Food, drinks, condiments and snacks are provided for your convenience. Your housekeepers try keep them stocked from the Honor Jar located in the refrigerator. Bring your own to be sure you have what you want.
Trash. There is a dumpster south of the lake in the big parking lot. Do not leave trash outside or you will have furry visitors.
Bugs. We spray weekly in season and have traps but we live in the woods in Indiana.
Grounds. You may explore from but not into the tree line north (neighbors), to the road south and west to the tree line.
Please no smoking inside, smoke outside.
